Elements: WATER

A small tear,
Drips from the sky.
He’s a desert of waves.
A black vortex.
Riding a four-horse chariot,
He’s Poseidon, the god of the sea.
The husband of the earth,
Trident-wielding fiend.
The father of horses.
The protector of the sailors.
As the tear seeps,
Into the earth,
A baby begins to sprout.
A familiar stranger.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful imagery
ReplyDeleteI don't even know what poetic devices are and you all are writing poems which I don't understand but still reading it looks like it's talking about water in some form.
