RIDICULOUS

It’s like a bed of roses,

In a forest of thorns.

Like fire raging

In the freezing icy mist.

It’s like a tonic intoxicated,

Like a dancing monkey

Drowning in the great sea.

 

It’s like a house of cards,

Like the mighty hills of cookies

By the lake of cold milk.

 

A classic comedy? Or

A tender tragedy?

It’s lovingly ridiculous

As the thorny bed of roses.

As it is.
