autumn's arrival

The beaming hot daylight,
Falls on my young face.
I see the Banyan,
Losing leaves.
I hear them rustling
As their lifeless bodies fall
Onto the giant grassy floor.
Suddenly I remember,
Of what was lost.
Suddenly I remember,
Of what was long gone.
The wise Bargad whispers
Her sweet soulful song,
Of impermanence.
Of true love’s eternity.
Of transience.
I hear her lovely lullaby,
As she sings to her baby leaves.
I see the mother mourn,
As the breeze wipes her tears.
The wind chants
Of love.
Of acceptance.
Of hope.
As the beaming hot daylight
Falls on my face.
I wake up now.
