sanguinity

I am a woman.

Born of summer breeze,

And monsoon rain.

 

I am a woman.

There’s vision in my blood,

And love in my veins.

With a fire for a heart,

And the earth for a soul.

I form a song.

 

I am a woman.

I shall lose the cloak,

Of doubt and regret.

I shall not marry my mistakes,

To the final bake.

 

I am a woman.

Made of courage and virtue.

I shall not be obedient,

Here and now.

 

For I am a woman,

Not made of straw.

I shall fight,

And be fought for.

 

A woman of summer and rain,

Holds great lenience and rage.

I shall draw a map of the world,

Of the lands and challenges untold.

 

For I am now a woman.

With a fire for a heart,

And the earth for a soul.

 

I shall shape a song,

To fight,

And be fought for.
